The Mitsubishi Lancer compact sports sedan enters 2016 with a number of key design and feature improvements to set it apart from the pack. Base power for the Lancer is generated by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine bolted to a five-speed manual gearbox. The 2016 Lancer sedan features Mitsubishi Motors advanced Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) safety body construction system that is engineered to absorb energy to help provide protection to the vehicle's occupants. Control hardware for the Lancer sedan consists of a MacPherson Strut configuration with stabilizer bar in front and a multi-link type suspension at the rear.
