Power for the Hyundai SUV is generated by the acclaimed 3.3L Lambda II V6 engine. A six-speed SHIFTRONIC automatic transmission is standard with Active Cornering Control. New for 2017 is a new Drive Mode selection with Sport, Eco and Normal settings. All-wheel drive is an available option.
Control hardware for the Santa Fe consists of MacPherson struts with twin-tube gas filled dampers and a 26-mm hollow-type stabilizer bar up front and a multi-link setup with gas shock absorbers and 21-mm stabilizer bar at the rear.
